For 24 years, I built a career in multifamily affordable housing—work I genuinely loved. With Pat caring for our children at home, I grew from property management into regional leadership and asset management, eventually achieving the professional success I once dreamed about.
But over time, that success came at a cost. My health declined, depression took hold, and the life Pat and I kept planning remained somewhere in the future.
Leaving wasn’t about running away from work. It was about choosing to invest my time in our family, our two acres, and the life we had postponed for years. Visionary Arts is where that next chapter is taking root.

Visionary Arts Center of Learning & Botanical Gardens is where our family brings learning, creativity, and nature together on a few acres.
It is our homeschool, our garden, our studio, and our place to experiment, restore, and grow. Some days we create art or breathe new life into forgotten furniture. Other days we plant, build, learn outdoors, or discover that our plans need to change completely.
We aren’t presenting a finished dream. We’re sharing the honest process of building it—one project, lesson, and season at a time.
